The inconsistent Iowa weather this week provided us with 80 degree temperatures, inch and a half of rain, wind and to top it off flurries. What a week! While the golf course is currently closed, we WILL BE BACK OPEN for play on Thursday, November 2nd for what we hope is an extended period of time.
The golf course will be closed today as we are aerifying greens. While we hate to miss a great day of golf in October, the weather will definitely help the healing process. We will keep you updated over the next few days and we have our fingers crossed we will receive the rain they are calling for later this week.
We will be aerifying greens tomorrow. Aeration physically removes excess thatch and replaces it with sand – firming up the surface, for quicker, smoother greens. While aerification is a hinderance, the long term health and playability is greatly enhanced. Thank you for your understanding in advance.
