This time of year we receive numerous inquiries regarding when green aerification will take place. Currently, this is scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th(weather permitting). Aeration physically removes excess thatch and replaces it with sand – firming up the surface, for quicker, smoother greens. While aerification is a hinderance, the long term health and playability is greatly enhanced. Thank you for your understanding in advance.
Over the course of the last week the number of rain days has been dominant. We could definitely use more sunshine to help dry things outs. As of this morning, carts are allowed off the paths in the ROUGHS ONLY(no fairways). The driving range is currently open. The cart rule could change during the day depending upon how much more moisture we receive.
We wanted the rain, we needed the rain, but now we would like it to stop. Overnight we received another inch of moisture and there is more likely throughout the day. Carts will be restricted to the PATHS ONLY and the driving range is CLOSED. More than likely there will be some type of cart restrictions in place for a good part of the upcoming week.
The rainfall we received is a welcome sight. However, it would be nice to see some sunshine and drying time. Due to the rainfall, fog and lack of drying time, golf carts will be RESTRICTED TO THE PATHS ONLY for today. The driving range will be open. The forecast is calling for additional rain chances in the coming days. Therefore, some type of cart restrictions will more than likely be in place throughout the weekend.
It was great to see rain falling on the course for an extended period of time as it is much needed. Due to the rainfall, golf carts will be restricted to the paths only and the driving range is closed. With additional chances of rain over the next couple of days cart restrictions and limited range availability may continue.
That was quite a storm that rolled through this morning. We received over an inch and a half of much needed rainfall. However, due to the amount of rain in a short period of time, the course will require some time to drain. Carts will be restricted to the paths only for at least the next couple of days. The driving range will reopen at 3:00pm.
Thank you to Mother Nature for providing us with 1 1/2″ of moisture. Carts will be restricted to the paths only for the remainder of Friday, June 30th. The driving range is open at this time. With the forecast calling for additional rain/storms on Saturday, more than likely those restrictions will be in place for a good portion of the weekend. Feel free to contact the Pro Shop at 515-287-7885 x2 to check on current cart restrictions or if the range is open.
We finally received some beneficial rainfall over the last 24 hours. Over the next few days the forecast is calling for additional moisture. Carts are currently restricted to the PATHS ONLY. With the additional rain chances more than likely there will be cart restrictions in place for the weekend.
Due to lightning we had to call everyone in for a period of time. Tee times may be delayed as we get back on schedule as we are now able to send players back out on the course.
HOPEFULLY, we are going to get some much needed rainfall today. The timing is not ideal, but a couple hours of moisture will do the course wonders in the coming days. We are closely monitoring the storms that are moving in and will keep you updated if there are cart restrictions put in place.
